Windsurfers have taken back the outright world speed record!!!!!!!! For all those in the windsurfing nation today was for you.
What a day it has been. At sunset we were getting hammered by unsailable 60-knots of wind wow…………….is all that can be said. Nobody can ever say that it doesn’t come here to Les Saintes.
We had such a hard time on the run as it was super gusty and very difficult indeed. We were getting between 35 and 45 knots of north Mistral wind that was coming in droves down the Canal making it very difficult to keep the trim because the power source was up and down so much.
The angle was pretty much horrible all day stuck at around 115 degrees with a few shifts to 120-125 degrees. With the kind of psycho wind we were getting at sundown we need 130-135 degrees just so we have a chance of holding on.
We are on high alert for tomorrow morning as we expect that we should have strong wind again but hopefully with better angle as the high pushes nearer to us.
